APEC students will do their internship in Sansouci

SANTO DOMINGO.

The Tourism and Hotel Administration students from APEC University (UNAPEC) in Santo Domingo will be able to do their internship in Sans Souci Ports, S.A. in the cruise, disembarkation and embarkation areas, as well as the Cruise Friendly program.

With this objective, the university’s chancellor and the president of the port, Radhames Mejia and LisandroMacarrulla respectively, signed a cooperation agreement so that the future professionals would gain capacitation and formation, not only in theory, but in practice too.

According to this agreement, the undergraduates will get the opportunity to update their knowledge in the cruise industry, especially in Santo Domingo as a destination.

Through this initiative, the student will do the internship in the port and will get in contact with the touristic and port companies, for the development of the “Area de Formacion y Practicas en Centros de Trabajo” (Area of training and practice in the Workplace).

UNAPEC was represented not only by its chancellor, but also by Carlos Sangiovanni, the Academic Vice Chancellor, and Luis Felipe Aquino, the dean of tourism.

For the tour company, on the other hand, Victor Macarulla, executive committee member; Jaime Castillo, executive director and Sharon Mei, commercial director, were present.
